The Electric Materials Company (TEMCO) is committed to clearly defining and meeting the contractual demands and expectations of our customers in their need for our products and services. We believe this effort is an ongoing one that continuously evolves bringing us closer to the goal of 100% satisfaction and defect-free performance.

The bedrock of this effort is the creation and maintenance of close working relationships with our suppliers, employees, and customers.

Quality Assurance     

The Quality Assurance (QA) team at The Electric Materials Company is here to ensure that our customer has complete satisfaction. We accomplish this through careful examination of customer requirements – how they fit within the TEMCO manufacturing processes and within our Quality System. Additionally, manufacturing processes are tightly controlled to assure that product requirements are met on a consistent basis. Both process and product audits are performed regularly to verify conformance to the requirements.

Our initial ISO Certification process was completed in 1998. The Electric Materials Company is registered to the ISO 9001:2008 Quality Management System. Our current ISO 9001:2008 certificate is available here.

Other new happenings within QA:

NAIC logoFor customers involved in nuclear safety-related work, The Electric Materials Company recently implemented and now maintains an ASME NQA-1 (10CFR50 Appendix B) compliant quality assurance program.  The Company is an active member of Nuclear Industry Assessment Committee (NIAC).  For questions and more information, please contact our Quality Assurance Manager using the contact information listed below.

The following new instruments were purchased in QA to increase capabilities and improve the precision of our measurement results:

  • PRATT & WHITNEY LABMASTER gage calibration instrument.  This precision instrument is repeatable to within 1.6 microinches.
  • BRUKER optical emission spectrometer.  This instrument is capable of measuring 26 elements.
  • FARO Arm (portable CMM).  It is capable of accurately measuring up to 9 feet.
  • Keyence IM-6000.  This instrument is capable of accurately measuring 99 dimensions within 3 seconds.
